Booty Camp : The Challenge
I am a regular contributor to the great new(ish) magazine, Simply Beautiful. My first article was all about creating a spa experience at home for Mother’s Day with Evolve Beauty and homemade products (you can read it here). When I was assigned my next article, I didn’t feel quite so comfortable but decided to throw myself into the subject of….. cellulite and check myself into booty camp.
For a couple of months at the end of last year I was practising pole several times a week as I assisted my friend, Elainea Emmott, run pole classes. After the Christmas break, I found work picking up and I was playing netball and indoor softball weekly so didn’t really have enough time to continue pole. I was just getting ready to start up again when one Saturday I tore my calf muscle playing indoor softball. This was absolute agony and I could not walk any significant distance for a month. This was very demoralising and quite depressing but luckily I had Charlie and his family around to support me, and walk Mimi! Needless to say not being active and comfort eating in down moments led to a bit of weight gain and once fit I found myself a bit out of shape.
I do tend to carry weight on my thighs and butt, and I do (like 90% of the female population) have a bit of cellulite, mine is located at the top of the backs of my thighs. I am very conscious of it and so this seemed like an opportune time to do something about it. So I did some research into supplements, products and exercise regimes and invented my very own program which I am going to try out and document here. Stay tuned for regular updates on my progress!
