Saturday 24th January 9am Fierce Grace Class Yoga Challenge Day 16

I am not going to lie and say that Fierce Grace was a miracle period pain cure, but after just a couple of weeks of practice, my pain was considerably lessened compared to the previous cycle. No painkillers administered, something I am trying to stop anyhow, and I think just one fill of the hot water bottle was used today. A marked improvement on the norm. Oh, the joys of being a woman! 

Today was tough, but once I got into the class I found my period pain subsided and I thought little of it till I got home. Amazing what a bit of distraction can do for your mind!

There are some yoga poses in Fierce Grace Yoga Challenge that are particularly effective for helping ease period pains –

Janu sirsasana – head to knee


Ustrasana – camel


Supta padangusthasana – reclining big toe stretch
