I haven’t tried many Yes To products, off the top of my head I think the Lip Tints are the only ones I’ve tried. When I first saw the ranges from Yes To (Carrots, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Blueberries) I wasn’t sure if they would stand the test of time, in that they seemed rather gimmicky. However, they are still standing and seem to be going from strength to strength.
So, this was my first experience of a bodycare product from the Yes To line – Yes To Carrots C Through the Dry Spell Deliciously Rich Body Butter. The formula is blended with organic Carrot Juice and organic Carrot Seed Oil, along with organic Pumpkin, organic Sweet Potato (interesting!) and Dead Sea Mud. There are also a couple of the usual suspects you expect to see in body butter – Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter and some rich oils – Avocado Oil and Sweet Almond Oil. Finally, there are even more antioxidant-rich ingredients including Green Tea, Gingko Biloba and Pomegranate Peel Extract.
I shared the sachet with my mother and we both agreed on the efficacy of the product, although the body butter seemed to soak into my mother’s dry skin faster than it did into my hands which felt a little greasy for a short while afterwards. I also tried on my arms and was far more taken aback with the results. The product not only absorbed quickly it left my skin feeling feather soft and with a gorgeous shimmer.
One thing we couldn’t quite place was the scent. It’s not carroty that’s for sure, but it has a light and pleasant fragrance. I can see that Parfum is listed in the ingredients list so I would be interested to know what makes up the fragrance – natural or synthetic – as the product smells similar to Nivea or E45 Cream.
Would I repurchase? Yes, once I’ve got to the bottom of the fragrance!
