Learning Natural Wisdom
The more I try out new products, the more knowledge I acquire. I’m absolutely fascinated by natural skincare, not forgetting hair and body, and recently I’ve been learning all about the ingredients in makeup, both natural and non-natural. All this learning and enlightenment I hope I share with you here in a way that makes it interesting for you all, so we can all obtain more “natural wisdom” ourselves. Earlier on in the year, I had the pleasure of meeting the Founder and Formulator of Natural Wisdom, Maeve Smith. She has a lot of natural wisdom herself, hence her setting up her own company with that very same name, Natural Wisdom. We had a lot of fun, not to mention tea and cake, and it was great to hear the story behind Natural Wisdom. Like practically every founder in this industry, Maeve was looking for natural alternatives for her and her family. I swear, this natural wisdom stuff is seriously addictive! What starts out as an interest, develops into a passion and (with a lot of blood, sweat and tears) develops and grows into a wonderful business that’s not just a business, it’s a way of life.
What’s in Natural Wisdom Rosehip & Pomegranate Antioxidant Moisturiser?
There is a seriously long list of ingredients in Natural Wisdom’s Rosehip & Pomegranate Antioxidant Moisturiser, but they are all 100% natural, 87.73% organic and all there for a reason –
- Raw Pomegranate, Raspberry & Rosehip Seed Oils in equal measure – all of which are rich in antioxidants to help protect the skin against sun damage, and essential fatty acids to help repair and plump the skin
- Vitamin C to help target skin discolouration, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles
- Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and soften the skin
- Spillanthes Acmella flower extract from Africa which firms the complexion and smoothes away fine lines (that’s my natural wisdom lesson for the day!)
- Many, many botanical extracts including soothing Calendula and Chamomile, superfood Carrot, regenerative Comfrey, and natural preservative Rosemary
Biteable Beauty’s Verdict on Natural Wisdom’s Rosehip & Pomegranate Antioxidant Moisturiser
I took this product with me to Marrakech earlier on in the year, along with a whole caboodle of other products… Here’s a picture of just some the products I took away that I used a cute little alcove in the wall to photograph them in.
The moisturiser is in the middle in the travel-sized blue bottle with the orange label. Natural Wisdom has since had a repackage and their skincare products all now come in violet Miron glass bottles with a pump dispenser. I much prefer pumps on skincare for ease of use and hygiene! It’s a lovely rich product and you only need a small amount to cover your whole face and neck. When I returned from almost a week in Marrakech, I still had a considerable amount of product left, when you look at the size of the bottle that’s not bad going at all! Walking around the medina, with its dryness and dustiness, in baking sunshine (it was 30 degrees every day we were there) could have dried my skin out and left me with some sun damage. This product helped to keep my skin hydrated and in good condition throughout my stay (with a little help from my natural sun protection in the daytime!)
This product would be great for dry or mature skin types, those travelling or living in hot climates and is a lovely rich moisturiser to use during the winter months. I absolutely loved Natural Wisdom’s Treatment Oil from the same range, you can read my review of it here
