laidbare-for-richer-for-porer-pore-minimiser-facial-masque

This is the first Laidbare product I have tried out. Charlie has volunteered to test its effectiveness at minimising pores, as he advised me that he couldn’t see mine anyway so there wasn’t anything to minimise. Expect an entry in grooming in the not too distant future. I may not have pores to minimise but this product left my face smooth, as well as zapped up excess sebum without drying out my face. It is a 3 in 1 product which cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates. These multipurpose products are becoming more and more popular, I suppose as people are trying to save money as well as time.

The texture in my personal opinion is not quite creamy enough for a masque. I like to apply a good thick layer and expect this to set, however, it is impossible to put more than a thin film on the face due to the consistency. I would like to see less water and more clay in the formula. Nevertheless, the product was still effective and the clay content was sufficient to draw out impurities, particularly from around my nose and chin area. There are some small granules in the formula, I believe these are seaweed extract which smoothes the skin and detoxifies. Once the masque has been on the face for 10 minutes, I made small circular motions to exfoliate using these granules.

This product smells delicious! The liquorice is the dominant fragrance, but you can also smell rose and mandarin. Liquorice is anti-inflammatory whilst rose water is soothing and mandarin antibacterial. All in all, I would say that this product is a great budget natural buy and a good treatment for oily/combination skin. Effective without stripping the skin of essential oils.
