My hair, although not affected too badly at the moment, has a tendency to be dry, at times slightly frizzy, and it definitely has a wave to it. So for me, Le Rituel Extra Doux was the only way to go. I’ve been using this Shampoo, Mask & Oil hair treatment once a week, at the same time I give myself a facial, and I’ve been rather enjoying it!

Green Energy Organics is the brainchild of Italian Wilma Scarton. She’s deserved of a post all of her own so I won’t talk too much about her now. The products contain gentle whole ingredients and extractions, no pesticide residues, no mineral oil, paraffin or Parabens. The products are all made in small batches, certified organic by ICEA and produced in a manner that has respect for the environment.

Le Rituel Extra Doux range is formulated with nourishing Shea and Cocoa Butter and has a distinctly sweet chocolatey smell. I don’t usually like my beauty products to be so saccharine in smell but in this instance, I am loving it! The hair ritual feels like a real treat, never mind treatment! Let me walk you through it. It all starts with a shampooing. As the delicious aroma fills the bathroom, the shampoo has a rather impressive lather for an SLS/SLES free shampoo, and only a small amount is required to give your hair a thorough cleanse. I’ve learnt over the years with natural less is often more, it just takes a while getting used to the lesser lather. Millabaci say that you can repeat the shampoo-ing if you should so wish, but I have found just once suffices for me.

Next, I blot my hair dry and then liberally spray the Le Rituel Extra Doux Phyto Hair Oil all over the hair, massaging into the scalp and combing through thoroughly. I’m always a little wary of hair treatment oils, particularly natural ones with no rinsing agents, but as I’ve tried and tested this one I know that I’m not going to be left with impossible to rinse oil at the roots leaving lank-looking hair even after multiple shampoo-ings.

Finally, on top of the oil, I apply a generous amount of the Le Rituel Extra Doux Hair Conditioner Mask, layering the products to maximise the conditioning results! I don’t comb through after this, and either pile my hair on my head and then wrap in a towel or don a shower cap and leave on for at least two hours. Depending on how lazy I’m feeling at night, I may go on to plait my hair and leave overnight for an extremely thorough treatment.

To finish, it’s time to return to the shower and rinse hair incredibly thoroughly, utilising a small amount of shampoo to help shift any traces of the oil and mask.

For normal hair, Millabaci recommend once a week for a month to see the maximum moisture possibly provided by the treatment. I’ve been following this ritual for a little over a month now, and I am delighted to say that my ends are definitely improved. As well as Cocoa and Shea Butter, the products are full of a bounty of natural ingredients such as certified organic rice bran, organic grape seed extract,  and contain vitamins E, B1, B2, B5, B6, B9, PP, D, mineral, trace elements and beta carotene. The end results, my hair is silky, shiny and glossy from root to tip, its unruliness (particularly post hot yoga) is tamed, and it is just wash and go for me – minimum styling required!
