Ingredients to Avoid in Bubble Bath!

BB_Bubble_Bath

We don’t want to spoil your enjoyment of sinking into a hot bubble bath after a long day or when you need some extra me-time, but did you know that your favourite mainstream foaming bath product may contain a bunch of rather unbeautiful ingredients?

We suggest checking the list of ingredients of your bubble bath and looking out for Cocamidopropyl Betaine on it. Cocamidopropyl betaine is a synthetic surfactant derived from coconut oil. It has been associated with irritation and allergic contact dermatitis, and these may be down to the ingredient itself or to impurities present in it, such as 3-dimethylaminopropylamine.

Therefore, when picking a bubble bath for little ones or your next bathing session, make sure you avoid cocamidopropyl betaine and other harmful ingredients, including fragrance, sodium laureth sulphate, and different preservatives such as tetrasodium EDTA. On our blog, we’ve reviewed a selection of natural bath products great for your transition to natural beauty products:

LUCY ANNABELLA ORGANICS Bath Milk

BOTANICALS Mineral Bath Soak with Himalayan Rose

FAITH IN NATURE – Pomegranate and Rooibos Range

ANCIENNE AMBIANCE – Goddess Bath & Body Salt

Bubble bath is my favorite “me time”. It gives me the feeling of being stress-free. And yes, I make sure that is clean and free from any dirt too. This concerns your skin so you really have to make sure that the product you used for bubble bath are safe and will not cause any skin problems. Thanks for making us all aware of it.
