SMILE Natural Dental Care

Who would have believed that those industrious Egyptians were performing dental surgery as early as 2500BC and using animal teeth as replacements for human teeth?

Or that the gent considered the father of modern dentistry recommended urine as a natural antiseptic mouthwash. Readers whilst I’m sure you all know the lengths I go to in order to report and review the best natural alternatives, I feel this is taking the p*ss!

And whilst I’m sure Frederick McKay had our best interests at heart when he decided it would be a great idea to add fluoride to toothpaste to prevent tooth decay, unfortunately in my opinion he didn’t think past our pearly whites. I’ve been looking for one of these since I heard about the competition, although I’ve still not found it! Usually I’m forever spotting faces in things. Ho hum, I hope I find one before Wednesday 17th July as that’s when you have until to upload it. After this date, you will need to tell all your friends and family to vote for your pic as the top 5 with the most votes will be entered into a prize draw to win the holiday. Here are some of the entries already received –

Next up, there’s a Twitter competition where you can win a Beambrush – the new toothbrush that sends dental health reports to your phone! To enter all you have to do is follow the instructions in AXA PPP healthcare’s tweet as below –

“WIN a new @BeamBrush. Tweet us the #dental tips you wish you knew sooner to #AXAPPPsmile for a chance to #win! http://bit.ly/13C8OO8″

I’ve already sent mine –

@AXAPPPhealth @BeamBrush wish I’d know potential health hazards of fluoride in my toothpaste! 32 and still no fillings though! #AXAPPPsmile

Fingers crossed – would love to try out one of these Beambrushes! Could it make visiting the dentist a thing of the past! I’m most firmly planted in the 10% of the infograph who are not registered with a dentist so the sooner I get a Beambrush the better me thinks!

Finally,

AXA PPP healthcare are holding two, free online dental clinics, giving anyone who might have a question on their dental health, an opportunity to discuss it with our dental experts.
