Fresh Faced – Natural Beauty Day Look
Well, a belated happy new year to you! I do have a “New Year New You” campaign that I am going to be running very soon on Biteable Beauty. Due to technical issues with the website (the website is due a makeover after a year and a half with the current look!) I have postponed this and will be running this later than scheduled, but hey I figured this is when you will all need that inspiration and support to stick to those resolutions. With over 90% of resolutions broken by the end of February, surely it’s the coming weeks when you’re most likely to fail. Turn to me!
Last month I attended NuffNangX‘s #BlogBash at The Luxe in Spitalfields Market – it was a gathering of bloggers all hoping to catch up on some blog posts that they had been meaning to write for a while now. I know I’m guilty of neglecting Biteable Beauty for some time (erm 6 weeks!) but I’m hoping to rectify this very soon as I’m searching for an assistant to help me with the day job responsibilities! Exciting times but very busy ones also!
And so, without further ado, I am going to share with you some new makeup posts, as this section of my blog is looking rather empty! I’m starting with a very natural, fresh daytime look which at the same time is very modern. The matt finish on the skin also happens to be very on trend for SS13.
Natural Beauty Makeup – Fresh Faced Day Look
I love this look. It’s a staple of mine as it looks natural but polished at the same time. It’s also an extremely quick and easy look for those days when you hit snooze one too many times! I’ve got my application time down to under three minutes, pretty impressive even if I do say so myself!
Fresh Faced Natural Beauty Makeup – Products Used
I love how mattifying this liquid foundation is, this is the key to creating this look – the matte finish gives a modern take to an otherwise very plain look. The product is quite thick when it first goes on, one pump covers the whole face, and it looks uneven. BUT! Once absorbed into the skin it leaves a really smooth, even coverage. Contains moisturising Sweet Almond, anti-ageing Vitamin E, nourishing Beeswax and soothing Chamomile.
This product blends in really easily, gives excellent coverage and reflects the light to hide those tell-tale under-eye circles when you’ve had too many late nights. Contains moisturising Sunflower Oil, as well as calming lavender and chamomile, which makes it perfect for the delicate eye area.
A simple mascara made with 100% natural and 85% organic ingredients – how super is that?! It’s particularly good for people with sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers (like myself!) as it doesn’t contain any irritating ingredients. It contains plant waxes and herbal extracts that help to condition the eyelashes whilst provided definition by separating them. No scary spiders on your eyelids with this product, oh no! I’ve only got one layer on in the image, but it does layer up to provide greater volume.
Slick of Lip Balm – I’ve actually just applied a little bit of coconut oil here, but there are some excellent natural lip balms out there that utilise the best oils and waxes from nature!
