Less Is More – Lindengloss Shampoo and Conditioner
This is the first of the brands I am going to tell you about that I found at Beyond Beauty, Paris. These are without a doubt the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever had the pleasure of using. I had a travel size to take away which lasted me a couple of weeks and was sorry when the end was reached.
My hair is long, gets tangled easily (I’m a bit hairbrush shy) and if not well hydrated has a tendency to become very dry and frizzy at the back.I usually leave coconut oil in my hair as an overnight treatment at least once a week, although recently I have been using shea butter and I have been pleased with the results. With this haircare set, I did not have to worry about the treatment for the couple of weeks as my hair was left soft, shiny and manageable, not to mention smelling gorgeous.
It says the products are for colour treated or damaged hair which really showed in the reparative properties of the products. The bioactive ingredients (which are certified organic) listed are –
- wheatgerm oil, which is nutrient dense extraction with a high concentration of tocopherols (vitamin E) to nourish and repair as well as lots of long chain essential fatty acids which mimic hair proteins and stimulate repair. The chains of these acids found in wheatgerm oil are longer than those in coconut oil, which means the emollient qualities of wheatgerm oil surpass those of coconut oil. Which explains why my hair didn’t need the treatment during those two weeks.
- cistus, which is very moisturising and protective
- soy, which strengthens and adds moisture, restoring your hair’s shine and smoothness
When I met the team at Beyond Beauty their products were not yet available in the UK however having just searched on the web I have found them available at Being Content, run by Imelda in Marylebone. At £22 each for a full size shampoo and conditioner, this product is not cheap but like I said this is the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. I’ve yet to try a shampoo and conditioner in the John Masters range but intend to do so very soon to do a comparison!
