#BeautyRevolution – Choosing Natural & Organic Conditioners
If you’re planning on getting rid of your old shampoo to start your #BeautyRevolution off, following on from last week’s post, you might want to think about your conditioner as well. Most conditioners, like shampoos, have ingredients in them that are harmful to not only your hair, but your health too.
One particularly unkind ingredient found in most conditioner products, but also in other many beauty products too, is Imidazolidinyl Urea. This ingredient is a formaldehyde donor, this means it derives from the same chemical that is used to preserve dead bodies. (Scary, isn’t it?) Not only has this chemical been linked to causing different allergies, but it is also known to lead to certain health problems, including headaches, joint pain, and chronic fatigue. Apart from this, it is also a proven carcinogen .
Instead of conditioning your hair with something so potentially damaging, we suggest you try an all-natural product! We have reviewed lots of natural conditioner alternatives on our blog where you can find our genuine opinion on some of our favourite products. Be sure to check them out and make the change to a kinder conditioner for your hair. There are many benefits to going natural, and when your hair looks beautiful, you – and your locks – will be thankful you tried it!
